The International Invention, Innovation & Design in Higher Education Impact (IIDHEI) offers a dynamic and inclusive platform to showcase innovation, creative design, and transformative invention projects from higher education institutions across the globe. With a strong emphasis on sustainable impact and alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the convention highlights academic initiatives that drive meaningful change within education systems and across society. Participants are invited to present innovations in teaching and learning, community-driven inventions, value-based designs, and cross-disciplinary projects that contribute to societal wellbeing, economic empowerment, and environmental sustainability. The convention bridges academic excellence with societal relevance by recognising both educational innovations that enhance learning outcomes and academic-driven initiatives that positively impact communities through University Social Responsibility (USR) and community engagement. Through a fully online format, IIDHEI25 enables broad participation and global visibility, fostering collaborative networks among scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and innovators from diverse fields and regions.

Nature of Innovation

IIDHEI is not a purely technical or operational innovation platform. It emphasises recognition and appreciation of learning output & innovations that demonstrate meaningful impact on society, beyond technology alone.

IIDHEI values learning-based innovation outputs and the sustainability of their impact, in alignment with SDGs, MyRA, and the MADANI framework.

The International Invention, Innovation & Design in Higher Education Impact (IIDHEI 2026)

To ensure a high-quality exhibition, IIDHEI adopts a distinctive evaluative approach that emphasizes whether an innovation is genuinely derived from learning outcomes and demonstrates meaningful societal impact. Accordingly, two fundamental criteria must be clearly articulated:

The innovation must originate from university-based teaching, learning activities, or academic materials, reflecting measurable learning outcomes and scholarly engagement; and
The innovation must demonstrate significant societal impact, supported by principles of sustainability, alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations, and high-impact learning outcomes.
To ensure quality, impact, and meaningful engagement, IIDHEI will accept a maximum of 100 participating groups only for this edition. Submissions will be reviewed and accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to meeting the event criteria.
